Maddison is an experienced employment lawyer who advises and represents employers on managing workplace risk and resolving employment‑related issues. Her practice spans both front‑end advisory and contentious dispute work, with significant experience defending employers against unfair dismissal, general protections, sexual harassment and workplace bullying claims in the Fair Work Commission and other courts and tribunals.

Maddison works closely with clients on complex employee relations matters, including advising on recruitment, performance management and termination processes, and conducting sensitive workplace investigations into discrimination and regulatory compliance issues. She acts for clients across a broad range of industries, including professional services, education, health, manufacturing, not‑for‑profit and government‑adjacent sectors. A key focus of her practice is advising on the intersection of employment law and workers’ compensation, including assisting employers to manage ill and injured workers in accordance with return‑to‑work obligations and defending WorkCover claims.

Maddison is regularly invited to participate in industry panels and forums on employment law issues. She is recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Labour and Employment Law and is the winner of the 2026 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award for Employment and Workplace Relations.
