
Lisa specialises in the defence, management and strategic resolution of litigated and non-litigated motor vehicle injury claims, of varying complexity, for the Western Australia State government insurer. She provides timely and cost-effective advice in relation to liability, quantum and future claims management, has assisted barristers in multiple trials and has worked with catastrophic and fatal accident claims.
She was previously a plaintiff solicitor for sensitive claims regarding sexual misconduct and abuse involving multi-party litigation and her drafting complex pleadings and submissions. She also has experience in public liability, workers compensation, property damage disputes and debt recovery and has appeared at hearings in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court and Workcover. Prior to her admission in 2016, she was a law clerk for over a decade and a legal assistant for 5 years exclusively in insurance law.
Lisa is known for her thoroughness, high quality advice, friendly warm approach and accessibility. She appreciates the value in achieving an early resolution of claims, minimising time and expense for clients.
She is committed to the equitable access of legal services for all and has volunteered at a community legal clinic. She is also dedicated to the development of young members of the legal profession demonstrated by mentoring juniors, tutoring law students and marking students’ assessments for Murdoch university. She also has a special interest in the advocacy of children with special needs.
