
Katryn is an experienced insurance litigator with expertise across personal injury, property claims, product liability, workers’ claims, and related statutory actions. She has experience advising on disciplinary matters involving regulated professionals, as well as coronial investigations and inquests.
Her practice includes professional indemnity, where she has represented a range of professionals—including veterinarians—in disciplinary proceedings and conduct investigations. Katryn has appeared before regulatory bodies and tribunals, providing strategic advice on risk management, compliance, and the resolution of complaints and investigations.
Katryn professional indemnity experience also includes acting for accountants, in both litigated and non‑litigated matters. Her work spans defending negligence claims, advising on coverage issues, and guiding clients toward efficient, commercially sound outcomes.
She has advised global and national insurers on complex public and property liability matters, and acted for insured businesses across industries such as manufacturing, warehousing, retail, hospitality, and hotels. Katryn has litigated public liability disputes in multiple jurisdictions, including the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW, the Supreme Courts of the ACT and Victoria, and NCAT.
Katryn is known for her strategic approach to complex legal issues and her focus on delivering clear, practical advice and commercially driven results.
Prior to her career in law, Katryn completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the University of Queensland.
