Zoë’s practice is focused on insurance, commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She predominately acts for both national and international insurers in professional indemnity claims brought against construction professionals such as engineers, architects and building certifiers, as well as accountants, financial planners, lawyers and cyber claims. Zoë also has experience in Directors’ and Officers’ liability.
Her professional indemnity experience encompasses successfully defending substantial claims against large professional services organisations.
Zoë has worked extensively on two Royal Commissions including recently acting for insurers in relation to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
She has acted as coverage counsel in separate Federal Court class actions against a large retirement village operator, and as coverage and defence counsel in separate Supreme Court of NSW class actions against a trustee.
Her clients appreciate Zoë’s friendly, proactive and commercial approach and she enjoys doing pro bono work and volunteers at numerous community legal centres.
