Quentin has 37 years of legal practice as barrister and solicitor, with 26 of those as an insurance partner. He has a rarely-matched wealth of experience in acting in many cutting edge industry cases. In his nine years of practising as a Federal crown prosecutor, he has accumulated a depth of knowledge of the laws of evidence which supplies a foundation for arson and fraud claims. His technical skills as a trial lawyer have received favourable comment from Supreme Court judges.
Quentin has a formidable record in many complex and difficult areas of insurance including CTP, legal liability, professional indemnity, recovery and arson and fraud. He has worked exclusively for major insurers and self insurers, drafting policy wordings and conducting significant litigation in both liability and CTP matters. He has a particular interest in arson and fraud matters and has been the Honorary solicitor/s for the Queensland Association of Fire Investigators for over 15 years. He has personally given evidence in recovery actions and has been successful on many applications to withhold documents for reasonable suspicion of fraud.
Quentin has regularly referred fraudulent claims to the Motor Accident Insurance Commission for prosecution action. All such claims have resulted in successful prosecutions and a number have resulted in prison terms being imposed.
