Naazihah is a Senior Associate in Gilchrist Connell’s Brisbane office. In 2017, she was named a Top 30 Under 30 Lawyer in Australia by Lawyers Weekly, winning the Insurance category of those awards. Naazihah was also a national winner of the prestigious AILA Ron Shorter Memorial Award in 2017. Naazihah acts on behalf of insurers and corporate clients, specialising in large-scale defendant liability and professional indemnity litigation. Beyond insurance, her experience extends to corporate, construction and maritime law.
Significantly, she has defended a number of multi-million dollar actions involving product defect, property damage and catastrophic injury claims. Naazihah has extensive experience acting for and against construction professionals (including engineers, architects and builders) in professional indemnity disputes. She is adept at managing complex litigation with a strong attention to detail and has a strong track record of achieving commercially favourable results and early resolutions for clients through alternative dispute resolution.
Naazihah is a member of the firm’s cyber team and enjoys her role as a mentor in the Bond University Alumni Mentoring program. The President of the Queensland Law Society has described her achievements as “evidence of the quality of the next generation of solicitors.” In her spare time, Naazihah is a keen football fan, spending her weekends watching Brisbane Roar matches and constantly trying to convince people that the round-ball game is not called ‘soccer’.
