Lisa has over 10 years’ experience in all areas of insurance litigation and policy interpretation. Her key areas of practice over those years have included professional indemnity, general liability, public liability, product liability and property damage claims, including multi-party and complex claims. Lisa has vast experience in all aspects of civil litigation, and manages both litigated and unlitigated claims from commencement of proceedings or receipt of letters of demand, through settlement and negotiation stages, interlocutory applications, to ultimate hearing and Appeals.

Her focus is on providing her clients with clear, concise, timely advice, and she has a knack for understanding her clients’ commercial needs. Lisa has been instrumental in drafting and providing clients with advice leading to early and commercial settlements of a wide variety of claims, including settlements of less than the assessed quantum notwithstanding significant exposures on liability, as well as summary dismissals of claims with costs.

She has also undertaken a nine month secondment in financial lines claims at a global insurer, gaining invaluable skills managing directors & officers, professional indemnity, E & O, employment practices liability, crime, statutory liability and WH&S claims.

Lisa thrives on assisting and mentoring junior lawyers and is committed to actively assisting junior lawyers to deal with the challenges of the profession.

She is also the NSW President and Australasian Vice-President of the Young Insurance Professionals (YIPs), one of the key organisational bodies dedicated to addressing critical issues facing the industry, including the attraction and retention of leading young professionals to the industry through education, networking, business development and community activities.

In her spare time, Lisa is involved in charitable initiatives in Sydney, including volunteer organisations dedicated to assisting disadvantaged youth, women, men and families.
