Gilchrist Connell’s Australian Legal Sector Alliance Sustainability update 2022

December 2022

We are pleased to report on Gilchrist Connell’s latest 2022 Legal Sector Sustainability update.

In 2021, Gilchrist Connell became a member of the Australian Legal Sector Alliance, an alliance of law firms whose mission is ‘to work collaboratively to promote sustainable practices across the legal sector’. In this, our second contribution to AusLSA’s Annual Legal Sector Sustainability Insight Report, we were very pleased to see our progress against each of AustLSA’s Sustainability Framework pillars, and to see where we are ahead of the market and where we still have work to do.

“One of the benefits of our growth is the ability to give back in ways that often exceed expectations of a firm our size. Commitment to AustLSA’s principles enables us to measure our contribution, particularly against the key areas the Alliance tracks – our commitments to our people, our environment, our community and our governance.” Richard Wood, Managing Principal at Gilchrist Connell, explains.

The firm has always tried to display our core values in a way that engages all in the community and promotes an inclusive and flexible workplace. Gilchrist Connell has been recognised as Employer of Choice for the last 3 consecutive years and in early 2022 appointed Jilly Field, our dedicated pro bono principal, to advance the firm’s contribution to social justice.
