Gilchrist Connell - Moving on up!
Gilchrist Connell is very pleased to announce promotions in its Sydney, Perth and Adelaide offices. These lawyers have been recognised for their outstanding performance and contribution to client service. Each of these individuals is highly deserving of their new roles, and we heartily congratulate:
Malcolm Wood – Special Counsel (Sydney)
Malcolm specialises in large, high-value litigation matters and recently extended his practice to incorporate corporate and commercial services, acting on transactions involving trade sales, mergers and acquisitions and public companies, drafting advices on regulatory matters. In addition to quickly mastering his corporate skills and expanding the client base, Malcolm continues to mentor juniors both within and beyond the Sydney office.
James Duffy – Special Counsel (Perth)
James has been recognised for his excellent technical skills and superior client management. He runs the Perth EPL practice with leading national workplace Principal Joel Zyngier, while managing a diverse case load incorporating professional indemnity, management liability, commercial litigation and general liability claims, including coverage. He recently completed a successful secondment with a major insurer in Sydney and Perth.
Kaye Lai – Associate (Adelaide)
Kaye’s work ethic, ability and enthusiasm has been exceptional and she is rapidly building a specialty in Associations Liability claims. Kaye is a valuable and keen contributor to client presentations and GC articles and publications.
Carolyn Ledinh – Associate (Sydney)
Carolyn has quickly created an impact, working across all areas of the Corporate practice at a high skill level. She is the first port of call for a number of clients, particularly in transactional and regulatory matters. Carolyn regularly produces articles and engages actively in business development activities.
“It’s exciting to see the ongoing development and dedication to client service that our team in general – and these individuals in particular – continue to demonstrate. One of the perks of the job is to honour these achievements and encourage lawyers at all levels to make their mark in delivering optimal results and real client value,” said Managing Principal Richard Wood.
