Gilchrist Connell attracts new senior talent

May 2020

Gilchrist Connell is continuing to invest in talent at all levels and across multiple offices to meet client demand.

“Thanks to the incredible responsiveness and flexibility of our staff – and the systems we had in place, we have so far been able to operate on a business-as-usual basis and, in fact, to build our team in response to demand, notwithstanding Covid-19,” said Managing Principal Richard Wood.

Heather Osborne has commenced in GC’s Perth office as Special Counsel, with a practice focused on workers’ compensation, public liability, product liability and fatal incidents.

Her substantial experience includes defendant personal injuries claim management and litigation and she has represented insurers, self-insureds and employers.

Anna Bartolo joined the firm in Sydney as Senior Associate. Her wide experience includes acting for a range of professionals, and on matters arising from the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Royal Commission, as well as working in London on global regulatory investigations.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Heather and Anna who bring additional senior specialist skills to boost capacity in our offices on both sides of the country,” said Richard.

Last month, the firm also appointed Principal Dan Robinson, a highly skilled D & O and Financial Institutions expert, in its Sydney office.

In addition to the above senior roles, the firm has recently recruited lawyers in its Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide offices.
