City to Surf 2022 – Sydney

City to Surf resumed after a 2 year hiatus thanks to Covid. We entered a team comprising of:

Whilst we are all winners, Caitlin came in with the fastest time of 77:23 mins. Coming in the top 12,000 out of 80,000. Impressive!

Wear It Purple 2022 – Still me, still human

Our teams across Australia got together for Wear It Purple Day on 26th August 2022 in support of fairness and rights for LGBTQIA+ people, learning and celebration. MATE Director Shaan Ross-Smith (she/her) and MATE Facilitator Hayley MacDonald hosted our LGBTQIA+ Inclusion and Cultural Change Training through the MATE Bystander Program. It was such an honour to learn and discuss ways we can empower each other to think more critically and sensitively about supporting gender diversity.

   

Bridge to Brisbane 2022

Last Sunday 28 August 2022, the firm’s Brisbane team supported various charities by taking part in the Bridge to Brisbane event. Some of the main charities we supported included Royal Children’s Hospital and Epilepsy Queensland.

It was perfect weather for the 10km event and everyone who attended had a wonderful time.

Queensland Legal Walk 2022

A team from GC Brisbane joined others yesterday to celebrate the power of pro bono participating in the Queensland Legal Walk event, raising funds to support LawRight QLD‘s work in helping Queenslanders receive access to justice.

Walk for Justice NSW 2022

Our Sydney team took a lunchtime stroll in the sun at the Walk for Justice NSW event celebrating the pro bono work donated to provide access to justice and raising funds for Refugee Advice & Casework Service (RACS) and the National Justice Project.

An enthusiastic fundraising team from GC Adelaide joined in the 2022 JusticeNet SA ‘Walk for Justice’ event, walking the 4.5km scenic city route to support JusticeNet’s work helping thousands of disadvantaged South Australians receive access to justice.
